“Promoting Entrepreneurship among Women”

pexels-photo-171323The findings of the project “Promoting Entrepreneurship among Women” by the European Commission noted that while as a whole the rate for female entrepreneurship held at 30% for the EEC, for Greece it lagged at 20%, placing Greek women entrepreneurs at the bottom third of the scale.

However, since the crisis, the rate for female entrepreneurship has increased in Greece, reversing the statistic: Greek female entrepreneurs make up up 30% of new female-headed businesses in the EU.  Greek women entrepreneurs have proven that they can take crisis and turn it into opportunity.

The Hellinida Foundation hopes to support them in their goals by acting as a network hub and mentor-maker.
